IDSC says Egypt's non-oil exports up 15.5% in Q2 of 2024 1 - Egyptian Gazette

The Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) announced that Egypt’s non-petroleum exports increased by 15.5 percent during the second quarter of 2024 to hit USD 9.7 billion, compared to USD 8.4 billion during the same quarter of 2023.

According to an IDSC report released on Thursday, Egypt’s non-oil imports reached USD 17.6 billion in the second quarter of 2024, against nearly USD 15.9 billion during the same period of 2023, with an increase of 10.7%. 

The report showed that the UAE was the biggest importer of Egyptian non-petroleum commodities during the second quarter of 2024 with USD 1.1 billion, followed by Saudi Arabia with USD 689.5 million, Turkey with USD 655.6 million, Italy with USD 550.4 million and the US with USD 522 million.

The report said that China is one of the most important trade partners in the second quarter of 2024 with the volume of trade exchange standing at USD 3.3 billion, followed by Russia at USD 1.7 billion and the US at USD 1.65 million, according to the report.
