EgyptAir, Egypt’s national carrier, showcased its presence at two major international travel exhibitions in Russia and France, underlining its commitment to promoting Egyptian tourism.
In Russia, EgyptAir participated with a prominent booth at the leading Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT), marking the event’s 30th anniversary. The exhibition is considered the premier travel trade show in Russia, attracting around 400 exhibitors from 40 Russian destinations and nearly 20 foreign countries each year.
The EgyptAir booth was inaugurated by Mohamed El-Kady, EgyptAir’s regional manager in Moscow, alongside Ahmed Wagdy, general manager of marketing in the commercial sector. The event featured meetings with key Russian and international tour operators, travel agencies, and conference tourism organisers to explore ways to increase Russian tourist flows to Egypt’s renowned tourist destinations, which annually draw large numbers of Russian visitors. Souvenirs reflecting ancient Egyptian heritage were also distributed to visitors.
In France, EgyptAir participated in the International French Travel Market (IFTM) held in Paris under the theme “New Sustainable Horizons-Let’s Unite Our Responsibility.” The airline was part of the Egyptian pavilion led by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, joining other key players from the tourism, hospitality, and aviation sectors.
Nermine El-Deqi, EgyptAir’s regional manager in France, held several business meetings with major French and international tour operators and travel agents to explore new partnerships. Agreements were reached with several companies specialising in leisure, religious, and cultural tourism to attract more customers. Discussions were also held with advertising firms at the exhibition about launching marketing campaigns for EgyptAir in Paris.
It is noteworthy that EgyptAir operates two daily flights to Paris, using its Airbus A321 aircraft.
