CAIRO/NEW YORK – Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty extended an invitation to US companies to participate in the “Future Economy Forum”, due to take place in the first quarter of 2025.
During his participation in activities of the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU), held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, the Egyptian foreign minister referred to great horizon and opportunities available to strengthen economic co-operation in all its forms between Egypt and the US, including increasing the volume of trade exchange and US investments.
Abdelatty stressed the importance of the role played by the BCIU in enhancing this vital axis of ties.
The minister also reviewed the developments of the economic reform process in Egypt, the Egyptian government’s vision, related efforts and the private sector’s role.
Abdelatty underlined the importance of Egypt’s industrial development strategy that aims at boosting industrial production in the country.
He also addressed the available investment opportunities in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCEZ), particularly in the green energy area and the automotive and pharmaceutical industries, and logistics.
