The Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation’s beach soccer team claimed victory in the 57th National Corporate Championship, held in Port Said. The team secured the title after defeating Cairo Airport Company’s team 5-2 in the final, with the latter taking the silver medal.
Abdel Rabbo El-Ashoul, Chairman of the Sports, Social, and Cultural Committee at the Airports Holding Company, hailed the achievement as a significant sporting success for Egypt’s civil aviation sector, particularly the airports and air navigation division. The team’s strong performance throughout the tournament, from the qualifying rounds to the final stages, saw them triumph over some of the country’s largest corporate teams.
The final was attended by Major General Mohamed Taha, Head of Administrative Development and Human Resources at Cairo Airport Company, as well as committee members Motaz Hosni, Hani
Mohie, and Tamer Atiya.
The winning team’s coaching and management staff included Mohamed Osman, sports supervisor, Mohamed Abdel Latif, head coach, Hassan Ali, assistant coach, and Mahmoud Karbel, team administrator. The squad featured experienced players such as Mostafa Samir, Mostafa Ali, Hassan Mohamed Hassan, Mohamed Abdel Nabi, Haitham Atef, Mahmoud Abdel Baset, Wael Fathy, Islam Sayed, Mohamed Mounir, and Sayed Ibrahim.
