Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken co-chaired a strategic dialogue session that started in Cairo earlier Wednesday.
Abdelatty praised the strong relationship between Cairo and Washington, calling it “strategic”. He pressed for action to further boost cooperation between the two sides at all levels.
The US is a super power and Egypt is a regional power, Abdelatty said, noting that enhancing bilateral ties is of big importance to both countries.
Abdelatty said Cairo and Washington have a common responsibility to maintain peace and stability of the volatile Middle East region.
