The United Arab Emirates expressed full solidarity with Egypt, in the face of Israeli allegations regarding the Philadelphi Corridor and strongly condemned the offensive Israeli claims in this regard, which threaten stability and exacerbate the situation in the region.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed on Monday that Hamas obtains weapons through the Egypt-Gaza border.

In an attempt to justify Israel’s illegal presence in the Philadelphi Corridor, he alleged that the axis serves as “Hamas’ pipeline for rearmament.”

In a statement released by the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, the UAE also praised the Egyptian and Qatari efforts to reach a ceasefire deal in Gaza and release the hostages. It expressed its hope that these efforts would contribute to ending the war, sparing the Palestinian people further suffering, and consolidating the foundations of stability and security in the region.

The UAE called on the Israeli authorities to stop taking any escalatory steps that exacerbate tension and instability in the region, stressing that the UAE rejects all practices that violate international legitimacy resolutions and threaten stability.

The UAE also stressed the importance of supporting all regional and international efforts to advance the peace process in the Middle East, halt the illegal practices that threaten the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Foreign Ministry also said in a statement on Wednesday that Netanyahu’s claims about maintaining the Israeli military presence in the Philadelphi Corridor are unacceptable.

The statement added that Netanyahu continues his lies to manipulate public opinion in order to cover up his crimes in Gaza and prevent the ceasefire negotiations from reaching an end.

Additionally, Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry asserted its full solidarity with Egypt and condemned the Israeli claims on Philadelphi Corridor.
