CAIRO – Presidential health initiatives contribute to not only improved services but also changing the healthcare concept, said Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.
Nearly 50 million visitors have been registered through the health initiatives since July 2019, Abdel Ghaffar said in a phone-in with Egypt’s Channel One Monday.
The health initiatives provide free services to Egyptian citizens, the spokesman said, noting, however, that healthcare is not only limited to getting medication. It is a state of physical, psychological and social perfection, Abdel Ghaffar explained.
He stressed that the Health Ministry is keen on supporting women’s health through a number of initiatives, including premarital screening and the mother and fetus initiative, along with the early detection of tumors
