Egypt’s Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk said Egypt handles complex geopolitical consequences in a very balanced manner under a comprehensive program to improve economic performance.
The minister made his remarks during a meeting with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva on the sidelines of his participation at the G20 meetings in Brazil.
Egypt hopes that the IMF would approve the third review of the economic reform program on Monday, he said.
Egypt hopes that the coming reviews will be made successfully and works on having funding from the IMF’s Resilience and Sustainability Trust (RST), the minister added.
