US Secretary of State Antony Blinken Tuesday greeted Egypt on the anniversary of the July 23 Revolution.
“On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my best wishes to the people and Government of Egypt on your National Day,” Blinken said.
The relationship between Egypt and the United States spans more than a century, a testament to the enduring bond between our nations and people, read a press statement by the Department of State.
Egypt has played a crucial role in promoting peace and security throughout the region, it said.
“Our two countries also continue to strengthen our commercial ties and bring our economies and our people closer together.
“We look forward to further advancing the cooperation and prosperity of our two great nations. Again, on behalf of the American people, congratulations on your National Day.”
