WASHINGTON- US President Joe Biden is expected to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he arrives in Washington, D.C., later this month to speak in front of a joint session of Congress, Axios reported Wednesday quoting a White House official.
Netanyahu will come to Washington amid growing tensions between the Biden administration and the Israeli government over the war in Gaza.
“President Biden has known Prime Minister Netanyahu for three decades. They will likely see each other when the prime minister is here over the course of that week,” the White House official said.
Netanyahu is expected to arrive in Washington in three weeks to give a speech to Congress on July 24.
