CAIRO – Despite the daunting challenges, Egypt will proceed with its path toward development and prosperity, said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
It is quite impossible for the State to backtrack on the path to achieving the dream of progress and a decent life for all citizens, added President Sisi while delivering a speech on the occasion marking the anniversary of the 30 June 2013 Revolution.
President Sisi, meanwhile, said that “Today we stand on solid ground as the country, its institutions are well-established, providing security and stability in the midst of a turbulent regional environment, with advanced infrastructure in all sectors.
President Sisi, meanwhile, said that the State is working day and night to build and modernise factories, reclaim millions of acres of desert, improve health and education to befit the Egyptian citizen, build cities and roads, energy, water and irrigation networks, create and develop a strategic network of ports, and connect all parts of the country by various fast and modern transportation lines.
Egypt today celebrates the 11th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, It is the day when the great people of Egypt rose up, rebelling against those who wanted to take their homeland, rejecting injustice, sectarianism and tyranny, President Sisi said.
The Egyptians managed to end a difficult period of chaos and destruction, and then walked on the path of development, and progress, despite all the difficulties and challenges, after they rediscovered the strength and solidity of the Egyptian human being, he went on to say.
“Since 2013 and until now, we have moved from one state to another. Stability has prevailed in our country after a period of chaos, and safety has prevailed, after years of fear and anxiety about the fate of the country,” President Sisi said.
President Sisi continued: “During these years, we eliminated terrorism despite the difficulty of the matter and the enormity of the sacrifices, and we built a development foundation with tremendous efforts by the Egyptians. We did not leave a sector without confronting its complex problems and accumulated crises. We did not neglect or avoid responsibility.”
Addressing the Egyptian people, President Sisi affirmed Egypt’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian brothers, rejecting all attempts to displace them outside their lands.
President Sisi, meanwhile, said the region is experiencing unprecedented circumstances, including the ongoing Israeli aggression across Gaza Strip along with unabated attempts to impose forced displacement of the Palestinian people.
Directing his speech to the Egyptian people who endure the hardships of life and the recent rise in prices, President Sisi said he is fully aware of the suffering, affirming that his main concern and the new government’s top priority is to alleviate that burden, create more job opportunities, and build a better future for all the Egyptians.
Concluding his speech, President Sisi saluted the souls of the martyrs, asserting that Egypt will never forget those who scarified their lives for the sake of homeland.
