Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on Thursday discussed with Sudan’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League and the country’s Ambassador to Egypt Emad el Dien Mostafa Adawi means of boosting co-operation in developing Sudan’s health sector.
During a meeting, Abdel Ghaffar and Adawi discussed renewing an agreement signed between Egypt and Sudan since the year 2019, in the domain of providing medical and first aid services, said Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.
The minister highlighted efforts to simplify measures of providing training in Egyptian hospitals for Sudanese doctors who acquired approvals for joining Egypt’s fellowship programs or enrollment in Egyptian universities, the spokesman said.
The Sudanese ambassador thanked the Egyptian state for supporting Sudan, saying that he is looking forward to receiving more support by Egypt’s health minister, in his capacity as the executive director of Arab Health ministers’ Council.
