CAIRO – Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir discussed on Thursday with director of the Russian Export Center Veronika Nikishina ways of promoting co-operation in the domain of trade facilitation.
The Egyptian minister is currently on a visit to St Petersburg city to take part in the 27th session of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum held on June 5-8.
According to a statement by Trade and Industry Ministry, the two officials discussed increasing trade exchange between Egypt and Russia through joint manufacturing in a way that will help expand Russian export markets indirectly.
The meeting also touched on existing spheres of co-operation between the two countries and solutions to some problems facing Egyptian and Russian companies to facilitate their businesses.
The Russian official said the center is keen on developing co-operation with Egypt in the trade facilitation domain.
