Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam asserted the ministry’s utmost keenness on bringing together all African brothers, particularly the Nile Basin countries.
Egypt is currently chairing the African Ministers’ Council on Water (AMCOW). The Egyptian presidency is seeing a strong momentum in boosting cooperation among African countries with constant Egyptian efforts, said the minister.
Sewilam was addressing a ceremony, held to honor 24 senior graduates of the Hydraulics Research Institute (HRI) from the Nile Basin countries, Horn of Africa and representatives from seven countries; Sudan, South Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Somalia and Egypt.
The graduates received certificates following completing the training program, that was held in HRI’s training center of the National Water Research Center (NWRC) on May 26-30.
