CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on Sunday Egypt has a big plan to develop the mosques of Ahl Al-Bayt (the holy family of Prophet Muhammad), expressing his appreciation to Sultan Mufaddal Mufaddal Saifuddin, Sultan of Bohra community in India, for his contribution to the development of Al Bayt mosques.
During the inauguration of Al Sayyida Zainab Mosque after the end of restoration works, Sisi welcomed Sultan Mufaddal and his accompanying delegation, saying this is the third Al Bayt mosque to be inaugurated in a short time.
The first two are Imam Hussein shrine and Sayyida Nafisa Mosque.
The contribution of the Bohra Sultan is appreciated and is a great indication of his love for Al-Bayt family, the President said, unveiling a plan to develop the mosques of Al Rifai, Sultan Hassan and Al Mawardi within the coming period.
Sisi said the State will compensate owners of houses built adjacent to these historical mosques so that they can be renovated in an appropriate way.
The President extended his thanks to the Bohra community sultan for his support in developing these mosques.
