Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff Osama Askar witnessed on Monday the main stage of a project for external command centres being carried out by one of the formations of the Second Field Army over several days as part of the combat training plan for formations and units of the Armed Forces.
In a speech to the event, the commander of the Second Field Army, Major-General Mohamed Rabie, highlighted the continuous support provided by the General Command of the Armed Forces to all formations and units to enable them to achieve distinction in the delivery of their tasks.
He emphasised the commitment of the soldiers of the Second Field Army to fulfill their responsibilities and tasks under various circumstances by maintaining the highest levels of preparedness and combat readiness.
The stage began with a presentation of the conceptual framework, decisions made, and procedures for organising co-operation and coordination between all units using the latest command and control systems during the different stages of the project.
Gen Askar discussed with the participating commanders and officers the implementation of planned tasks and the optimal handling of changing situations during operation, praising the efforts and distinguished level displayed by all participating elements.
At the end of the stage, the chief-of-staff conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Minister of Defence General Mohamed Zaki to the soldiers of the Second Field Army, reaffirming the General Command’s keenness on developing the capabilities of the individual combatant and maximising these capabilities in line with the nature of the assigned tasks.
