Emigration min. hails contributions of Egypt’s Armenian community

Cairo – Egypt’s Armenian community is a distinguished one, with many of its members having remarkable contributions to the Egyptian society throughout the past years, said Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendi on Tuesday.

The minister made the remarks during a ceremony marking the inauguration of the international department at the Armenian Catholic Sisters’ School.

Egypt has embraced all those who sought refugee, the minister said, adding that Egypt has opened doors for several communities who became an integral part of the Egyptian society, the minister said while addressing the opening ceremony.
