CAIRO – Egypt’s Higher Education Minister’s Adviser for African Affairs and Space Technology participated in the “NewSpace Africa” conference, on behalf of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour.
Themed “The Role of Space in Closing Africa’s Poverty Gap”, the event is co-organised by the African Union (AU) and Angola state to discuss space issues across the African continent.
Abu El Majd addressed that inaugural speech of the conference, which shed light on top space topic in the African continent, according to statement issued by the Ministry of Higher Education.
He highlighted Egypt’s efforts at both the local and international in the space domain, including hosting the African Space Agency.
The NewSpace Africa conference is structured to provide an avenue to build and maintain new relationship with stakeholders in the African space and satellite industry.
The conference emphasis is on building new partnerships and business collaborations to advance the economics of the industry. It provides a platform for leaders in government, industry, academia and investors to build new business connections and relationships to advance the industry.
