EL ARISH – Regional Director of the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean Hanan Balkhy lauded Egypt’s efforts in delivering humanitarian aid to the war-torn Gaza Strip.
This came during a visit by the WHO delegation led by Balkhy to Arish city on board a private plane landed at Arish International Airport.
Secretary General of North Sinai Governorate Osama el Ghandour was on hand to receive the delegation on Sunday.
Balkhy, meanwhile, said referred to the importance of the diplomatic efforts in meeting the humanitarian aid in the enclave.
The WHO is committed to providing all the necessary aid and support to the Palestinians in the enclave, she added.
For his part, Ghandour referred to the efforts exerted by Egypt in delivering the humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip along with receiving the Palestinians patients and injured to receive treatment at the Egyptian hospitals.
