“Egypt remains dedicated to mitigating the humanitarian impacts of the Sudanese conflict on its people,” he said.

General al-Burhan expressed appreciation for Egypt’s support amid the current challenging circumstances in Sudan, reflecting the enduring historical ties between the two sisterly nations, evident in Egypt’s role in welcoming Sudanese citizens and alleviating the crisis’s effects.

Moreover, the meeting addressed the latest regional developments of mutual interest, including the situation in Gaza. Both leaders emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire and immediate humanitarian assistance, agreeing to continue intense consultation and mutual coordination in this regard, in the best interest of both countries and their fraternal peoples.
