Twenty-eight hot air balloon flights were organised in Luxor on Wednesday, carrying 580 tourists of various nationalities.
The balloon flights flew over the city’s archaeological sites.
Representative of Balloon Flights Company in Luxor Ahmed Aboud said that hot-air balloon rides are one of the most important tourist programmes which are the tourists’ favourite to visit monuments and archaeological destinations in the capital of world tourism.
He also added tourists enjoy watching the temples of kings and queens, the Ramesseum temple, the statues of Memnon, the Nile strip and crops from the top of the sky of the western mainland.
He made it clear that all safety measures are taken in full coordination with the security bodies in the Upper Egyptian governorate.
