Chairman of the Board of Directors at Egypt Healthcare Authority Ahmed el Sobky asserted the strength of the Egyptian-German relations in the different domains, especially the healthcare field.
Sobky, who is also the general supervisor on the projects of comprehensive health insurance and Decent Life in the Ministry of Health, asserted the importance of benefiting from the expertise of the German healthcare system in Egypt to boost the goals of sustainable health development 2030.
This came during Sobky’s meeting on Thursday with German Ambassador to Egypt Frank Hartmann to discuss means of boosting cooperation in the different fields of healthcare.
During the meeting, Sobky reviewed the pioneering Egyptian experiment in comprehensive health reform and the accomplishments of Healthcare Authority in promoting healthcare sector in Egypt, including innovating medical and treatment services, modern medical techniques, digital transition of services, applying clinical governance, developing medical tourism.
The meeting tackled means to boosting cooperation between Egypt and Germany to exchange expertise and missions in the fields of advanced healthcare, digital health, health technology and artificial intelligence to contribute to upgrading the healthcare sector and continue way to comprehensive health reform in Egypt.
Hartmann lauded the Egyptian pioneering experiment in health reform and comprehensive health coverage. He also praised the efforts of the Healthcare Authority for development and innovation of the healthcare sector.
