Egyptian Ambassador to Italy Bassam Radi on Monday met with Emigration Minister Soha el-Gendy, who is touring Europe to urge Egyptian expatriates to vote in the presidential elections 2024.
The minister asserted that the political leadership appreciates the efforts of Egyptian envoys worldwide in fulfilling the requests of expats and discussing their proposals in the service of their country.
Gendy also reiterated the importance of maintaining the constitutional rights of Egyptian expats in the era of the new republic, highlighting the most important right which is the participation in the voting for the presidential elections, set for December 1,2 and 3 for Egyptians living abroad.
The minister is to meet with top figures of the Egyptian community in Rome to talk about their various rights and the need for their greater involvement in Egypt’s development.
She also reviewed the latest developments in the establishment of an investment company for expats.
