Egyptian Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar asserted that Egypt receives average of 40-50 cases of injured Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip in line with directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
In an interview with Egyptian TV program of Good Morning Egypt on Sunday, he said 39 per cent of the cases coming from the Gaza Strip are children who were either wounded in the Israeli shelling or suffer from tumors.
He said Egypt also received women and elderly people, noting there are more than 35 fully-equipped ambulances at the Rafah border crossing to handle any emergency case.
He added that most of injured cases require intervention of doctors from different specializations as the injuries are complicated.
