Egypt’s Trade Minister Ahmed Samir and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Qassim Al-Abdullah Al-Thani witnessed on Tuesday the inking of six co-operation agreements between the Egyptian and Qatari private sector companies in the fields of real estate, food industries and cars.
The agreements was signed on the fringe of the Egyptian-Qatari investment forum.
Retaj Qatar Trading Company signed co-operation agreements with Tatweer Misr and Weider Egypt in the field of technical support and management.
Qatar’s Al Hattab Holding inked cooperation deals with Juhayna Food Industries Company, Durra Egypt, and Makkah Company to supply food commodities to Qatar.
Qatar’s Suhail Industrial Holding Group also signed an agreement with Ghabbour Auto in the field of automobiles.
Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce, underlined the key role played by businessmen in both countries in enhancing trade and investment cooperation between the two sides.
He noted that Qatari businessmen examined several investment opportunities in Egypt, expecting more partnerships between businessmen of both sides in the coming period.
