GENEVA – Head of the Arab-European Forum for Dialogue and Human Rights in Geneva Ayman Nasr hailed Sunday Egypt’s ongoing efforts to bring Israeli aggression on Gaza to a halt.
In a phone contact with Egypt TV 1 Satellite Channel, the head of the Arab-European forum for dialogue and human rights in Geneva said Egypt is exerting strenuous efforts to make use of all reports of Palestinian civil community, as well as reports made by the international community to denounce Israel and bring it accountable for its crimes.
Nasr accentuated the importance of the Egyptian role in exercising pressure on Israel to stop its aggressions.
He highlighted great Egyptian efforts that have been exerted on the political and humanitarian levels since the outbreak of the crisis in Gaza.
Nasr termed as “catastrophic” conditions in the enclosed Palestinian enclave.
He also referred to active drives on the part of the Egyptian Mission to the National Council for human rights (NCHR) to condemn all Israeli violations against the Palestinian people.
Nasr highly praised Egypt’s painstaking efforts to garner support of 71 countries of the UNCHR’s to put further pressure on international community to stop Israeli violations against Palestinians in Gaza.
He also pointed out to the statement of Egypt’s permanent representative to the United Nations that expounded in details Israel atrocities and malpractices and voiced Egypt’s keenness on reaching a lasting solution for the Palestinian issue.
The head of the Arab-European forum for dialogue and human rights categorically denounced Israel’s use of internationally prohibited weapons against Palestinians.
