CAIRO – The electoral campaign of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is based on the participation of all spectra of the society, dialogue and interaction, said Mahmoud Fawzi, the Chairman of the Electoral Campaign of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Speaking about the campaign’s activities last month and the steps ahead after the election authority announced the final list of presidential hopefuls, Fawzi added, according to MENA, that president Sisi has picked the star symbol and was designated the serial number (1) in the voting form, noting that the campaign has been interacting with the unfolding events regionally and internationally.
Throughout a month, between October 8-November 8, the campaign had organized 75 meetings for talks with 203 bodies representing various institutions, unions, syndicates and ideologies, the chairman of the campaign said.
He added that the premises of the electoral campaign had received as many as 1,600 visitors, including women, youth, university students, workers, peasants, athletes, businessmen, investors, intellectuals and actors.
In a gesture aimed at showing support and solidarity with the Palestinian people, the campaign has suspended its activities for a week and raised both the Egyptian and Palestinian flags on the rooftop of its headquarters. It also took part in local blood donation campaigns dedicated to the Palestinians, Fawzi stated.
