Five planes laden with humanitarian assistance landed at Arish International Airport over the past few hours, bringing to 78 the number of planes sent since October 12 to the coastal enclave, said executive director of the Red Crescent in North Sinai Mahmoud Farid on Sunday.
The first plane is sent by the World Food Organization and laden with two tons of foodstuffs while the second is dispatched by France with 17 tons of foodstuffs and tents on board, Farid said.
The third plane is from Malaysia and it is laden with 16 tons of medicines, foodstuffs and medical supplies, he added.
The fourth plane is from Kuwait, bringing to 12 the number of aid planes sent by the country to Gazans.
The fifth plane is sent by Iraq and is laden with 11.5 tons of medicines and other medical supplies.
