ROME – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced on Monday dispatching the first plane loaded with aid supplies for the Gaza Strip via Egypt.
Tajani added that Italy will send more humanitarian aid supplies to the enclave on Tuesday in an attempt to ease the difficulties facing the Palestinians.
A delegation from the ministries of foreign affairs and defense, the UN and the Italian ambassador to Egypt will be present to organise the distribution of the aid supplies that will be sent to the Red Crescent after crossing the Rafah terminal.
