Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has signed a bill excluding the listing of some companies owned by non-Egyptians or with 51-per cent stakes owned by non-Egyptians in the importers’ registry.
Law No. 173 of 2023 addresses holding companies, stock limited companies, limited liability companies and people companies.
The registration terms should not exceed 10 years from the date of enacting this law.
Article II of the bill entails that it be published in the official gazette and become effective as of the following day.
