The Egyptian efforts succeeded in opening the Rafah border crossing to allow the entry of humanitarian Egyptian and international assistance to the Palestinian people.
The first relief convoy was allowed into the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
As many as 20 trucks started crossing through the main gate of the Rafah terminal.
The top priority is given to trucks carrying medical supplies and foodstuffs.
The Israeli occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank has killed 4,218 persons and wounded 13,400 so far, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
