President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s pride in the constructive relations and positive cooperation with Greece, whether at the bilateral level or as part of the tripartite cooperation mechanism with Cyprus.
The President’s remarks came in a phone call he had yesterdaywith Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The President followed up a number of issues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic, security and energy fields. The two leaders exchanged views on regional issues in the Eastern Mediterranean, especially the developments of the Libyan file.
Meanwhile, the Greek prime minister expressed his country’s keenness to enhance joint cooperation with Egypt, whether on the bilateral level or as part of the tripartite cooperation mechanism between Egypt, Cyprus and Greece, in a way that would contribute to strengthening the distinguished relationsbetween them, as well as continuing consultations and coordination on issues of common interest.
