Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call from his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides on Tuesday to discuss the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.
They talked about the hazardous situation in the enclave and the humanitarian repercussions for civilians.
The two leaders voiced concern about the expansion of the conflict and its effect on regional stability.
Sisi posted Christodoulides on Egypt’s tireless efforts to achieve calm in Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid to Gazans, said presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
