Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on Monday met with deputies and heads of the crises rooms in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, North Sinai, Suez, Ismailia, Port Said, Damietta and Sharqia in the ministry’s HQ in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) via video conferencing.
The measure comes in implementation of directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi during a meeting of the National Security Council to review preparations of the health system to deal with any medical emergencies following the serious repercussions of the Israeli operations in the Gaza Strip and raise the efficiency of hospitals in the relevant governorates and provide all medical supplies and medications.
Spokesman for the Health and Population Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the minister made sure that there are sufficient stockpiles of medications in hospitals of these governorates.
