CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi reiterated on Thursday the ministry’s keenness on co-operating with national and international companies specialised in waste recycling domain to localise the industry of manufacturing waste recycling equipment in accordance with the latest world standards.

 

The minister gave the statements after attending the signing of a memo of understanding between the National Authority for Military Production and the South Korean environment and technology institute (KEITI).

 

The memo was signed by Mohamed Mohamed Salah El-Din Moustafa, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Authority, and Jechul Yoo, President of the Korean Corporation for Environmental and Technological Industries, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Military Production.

 

Morsi also reiterated the ministry’s keenness on transferring modern technology in the manufacturing domain to all affiliated companies and units.

 

The minister said the memo comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to develop waste recycling mechanism, improve health and environmental conditions of citizens and achieve economic profits.

 

The memo comes as part of the ministry’s relentless efforts to enhance co-operation with Korean companies in all domains to better serve the two peoples.

Co-operation with Korean companies is deeply-rooted, he said, referring to the establishment of three waste recycling plants in Sohag, Minya and Gharbiya governorates in cooperation with South Korea’s JST company.

 

Assistant President of KEITI Song Ki-hoon hoped of more co-operation between Korean and military production companies in the waste recycling domain to achieve overall development.

 

He lauded the technical, manufacturing and technological potentials of the military production companies and their role in backing the State’s comprehensive development plan.
