ASWAN – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed including villages in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Aswan to Haya Karima Initiative.
During an inspection tour Thursday of areas mostly affected by recent flash floods and storms that hit the upper Egyptian governorate, the president was posted on the initiatives’ efforts, as well as prompt intervention to deal with damage afflicted on the governorates’ villages due to bad weather.
The president also followed up on services offered to citizens in badly-hit areas as part of Haya Karima floated drives.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi started the inspection tour by visiting a number of houses of citizens in villages damaged by floods in Aswan. He assured affected citizens that the State would extend all possible help for them.
President Sis listened to the residents’ demands. He referred to more than 500 housing units ready to be handed over to the citizens.
The president also visited Al-Shahama village in Aswan, mostly afflicted by the bad wave of weather, as he visited the villages’ health care unit, primary and preparatory school that was rehabilitated as part of Haya Karima Imitative.
President Sisi met with the villages’ residents, medical staffers and also a number of students and teachers during the tour.
Haya Karima (Decent Life) initiative was launched by President Sisi on January 2, 2019 to improve the standard of life for the most needy community groups at the state level during 2019 and also contribute to raising the level of daily services provided to the most needy citizens, especially in villages.
It is considered the largest national project in terms of investment and volume of work and aims at rehabilitating infrastructure in more than 4,500 villages across the various Egyptian governorates.
