Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli visited Menoufiya Governorate Saturday to assess progress on a number of development projects as well as on the national project for the development of the Egyptian countryside, which is implemented within the presidential “Decent Life” initiative.

PM Madbouli said he is keen on following up the implementation of development projects in the different sectors nationwide.

The state is very interested in carrying out the national project to develop the Egyptian villages, which is regularly followed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi as part of “Decent Life” initiative that aims at upgrading services offered to citizens, said Madbouli during an inspection tour of Menofia Governorate yesterday.

The prime minister’s tour in Menoufiya took him to a number of villages, including the Shamma Village, one of many targeted within the countryside development project.

He reviewed arrangements to be taken in the village to improve services offered to residents.

The prime minister also listened to an explanation from a host of government officials and executives about the objectives of each arrangement as well as its estimated cost.

The projects to be implemented in the village include the delivery of drinking water to its homes and the implementation of an integrated sewage network.

The projects also include – among many others – the construction of a primary school.
