Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday witnessed the graduation ceremony of batch No. 115 of students of the military colleges and institutes at the Military Academy premises.
The ceremony started with reviewing the guards of honour and the national anthem was played upon arrival of President Sisi at the venue. Then, student honour guards saluted President Sisi.
The military parade started with an air show on the occasion of the October War victory anniversary. Also, the graduates presented a sports show to display their physical fitness and skills.
The students also shaped the number of their batch with some formations and chanted the national anthem.
The Military Academy has won “the ISO 22001” Certificate on food quality. It has also won the Physical Efficiency Shield of the Military Colleges and Technical Institutes in view of its keenness on providing a proper atmosphere for the students’ physical preparedness and skillfulness.
Fighter students showed their skills in riding motorcycles that were recently introduced to the military colleges to increase the fitness of the students.
The students also showed their combat and self-defence skills.
A group of Egyptian heroes who snatched Olympic and Paralympic medals in Tokyo 2020 participated in the show.
Some arms and equipment used by students in their military training were displayed at the parade, while some fighter jets from the fourth generation and the most advanced fourth generation jets and military helicopters flew over the city.
Various formations of the armoured vehicles, arms of the naval forces and the air defences also participated in the military parade.
Also, paratroopers presented a show with the use of high-tech jumping equipment.
As many as 1,200 elements of the military troupes performed the military music.
President Sisi gave the signal to start the military show to the tunes of the troupe, with flag holders leading the procession.
Sisi saluted the graduates of the Military Academy who moved in groups together with graduates of the Police Academy present at the parade in a show of unity between the two establishments.
Sisi and the graduates and attendees then stood as the troupe played the national anthem of Egypt.
