The fund to honor martyrs, victims, missing persons and casualties of war, terrorist and security operations and their families has taken four important decisions while reviewing its annual report this week.

The decisions of the fund, which enjoys continuous follow-up from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, come as part of the Egyptian state’s appreciation for the sacrifices of its loyal martyrs and injured from all segments of society.

The decisions included disbursing material compensation, which will be granted as Lum sum. The Fund transferred the amounts to the relevant authorities, including the ministries of defense, the interior and social solidarity provided that the disbursement begins as of September 14, 2021 to all those entitled at once.

A compensation of LE100,000 will be given to the family of each martyr and each injuredthrough the relevant authorities in accordance with the terms and conditions issued by the fund.

The Central Agency for Organisation and Administration has begun to take procedures to appoint the eligible persons from the families of the victims of terrorist operations, in positions in the state’s administrative apparatus.

These appointments will be made in coordination with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, without the need to amend the prime minister’s decision No. 2804 of 2017 regarding employment rules stipulated in the second and third paragraphs of Article 14 of the Civil Service Law.

The decisions also stipulate for the activation of the initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports “Your Bike – Your Health”, to allocate one bicycle for the family of the martyr, victim, missing or injured person, provided that the fund bears half the price of the bike and the beneficiary bears the other half of the price.

The fund was established to honour the martyrs, victims, missing persons, casualties of war, terrorist and security operations and their families by virtue of Law No. (16) of 2018 dated March 13, 2018.

Its vision was built on honouring, supporting and caring for the families of the martyrs, victims, missing persons and those injured in war, terrorist and security operations.

The Fund coordinates with all relevant parties, civil society organisations and the private sector, to provide aspects of care and support for the families of martyrs, victims, missing persons, and casualties of war, terrorist and security operations in various fields, and work on their continuous development.
