The journalist and writer Bassam Abdel Samie released the first book to coincide with the launch of “Expo 2020 Dubai” entitled “Crossing the Future…Expo 2020”, describing the event as a defining moment in history to cross the future, through the largest international gathering of human knowledge, pointing out that the book represents a response to the call of the Expo to join the change makers.
The author answered a question about what is the Expo? He said: “Expo 2020 Dubai” is the image of the world in everything, starting with human identity, thought and history, culture and various arts and entertainment, creativity and imagination, national identity, innovation and the latest technologies and investment opportunities, sustainability methods to preserve the planet and life with nature, movement and travel in the future, and international cooperation to meet all challenges, including the current and future economic and health challenges.

The author begins some of the Expo 2020 stations, by answering the question: Can we meet the future one day, away from imagination and dreams? .. He said: This question has turned into urgent challenges facing humanity after the escalation of the Corona pandemic and its rapid transformations, so that Dubai leads the world cities by owning an exceptional environment that enhances The ability to face challenges and achieve ambitions for economic and health recovery and sustainable quality of life.
The author noted that Dubai grants the world a visa to enter the future and navigate it strongly through its readiness to organize “Expo 2020 Dubai”, which will be held from the first of October 2021 to the last of March 2022.
It is noteworthy that the journalist writer Bassam Abdel Samie headed the editorship of some Egyptian newspapers during the period from 1998 to 2005, including “Al-Masir”, “Hadith Al-Ummah” and “Masr Al-Youm”.
In 2020 the author released 11 books that varied between biographies, intellectual and religious works, novels and story collections. He also published the first comparative study between Expo Milan 2015 and Dubai Expo 2020.
