The UAE will host the Expo 2020 Dubai, starting from the beginning of October 2021 and will last for six months amid unprecedented precautionary measures. It is expected that Expo 2020 Dubai will receive 25 million visitors from 192 countries, and despite its postponement for more than a year, the participating countries are engaged in extensive activity to highlight their economic developments.

During the exhibition, the Egyptian pavilion will witness the holding of 103 events, including workshops, discussions, business meetings and cultural seminars, said Dr Ahmed Maghawry, head of the Commercial Representation and General Commissioner for Egyptian Participation in Expo 2020 in Dubai. The number of visitors to the Egyptian pavilion is expected to reach 2.5 million.

The events will cover diverse topics related to urban development, tourism, sustainable development, health, agriculture, improving living standards, women and youth, in addition to nine exhibitions in antiquities, education and real estate investment.

All interior and exterior work on the Egyptian pavilion was completed last Thursday.

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Anani said this international event is an opportunity to showcase Egyptian tourism, archaeological and heritage to the world in order to promote tourism.

El-Anani spoke of coordination between the ministries of tourism, antiquities, commerce and industry to choose the tourism and archaeological content, such as films, tourist advertising, ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic writing inside and outside the pavilion to highlight the identity of the pavilion.
