President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Saturday commended the superb performance of handball team in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Sisi paid tribute to the team’s competitive spirit and their good manners.
The president said that he is appreciating the distinguished performance of the heroes of the Egyptian national handball team, in addition to their spirit of competition and good manners while participating in the games in the Japanese capital Tokyo.
He added the homeland is awaiting more efforts from you to maintain the rally of championships and achievements at international forums.
Sisi wished the handball team further success in upcoming competitions and tournaments.
Spain claimed the bronze medal in Olympic men’s handball for the fourth time in their history with a 33-31 win over Egypt at the Tokyo Games on Saturday.
The sides fought out a tense match at the Yoyogi National Stadium before Spain pulled ahead to lead 19-16 at halftime.
