Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call Saturday from French President Emmanuel Macron within the context of their continuing consultation regarding the developments of the military escalation in the Gaza Strip.
The two sides agreed on the seriousness of the current situation, especially with the increasing severity of its humanitarian fallout on civilians.
The presidents reviewed the ongoing diplomatic efforts, whether on the path of calm and preventing the aggravation of the conflict and widening its scope, or on the humanitarian path.
They discussed the intensive efforts that Egypt is exerting to coordinate and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian, medical and relief aid to the people of the besieged Gaza Strip.
