There are expansions in the use of natural gas and liquefied gas projects in the world in light of an international unanimity that the natural gas is the best fuel, said Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla.
Molla’s statements came during his participation in Gastech 2023, the world’s largest meeting place for natural gas, LNG, hydrogen, low-carbon solutions, and climate technologies, opened today in Singapore.
The minister said that Egypt builds on the outcome of the climate change conference (COP27) held last year in Sharm El Sheikh to achieve the aspired goals in terms of pumping investments and supporting cooperation.
He met with former British prime minister Boris Johnson and heads of gas companies taking part in the gathering.
The first day of the gathering featured a range of insightful contributions from policymakers, CEOs, and business leaders on the multiple, interconnected challenges facing the global energy sector.
Delegates discussed the critical role of natural gas, LNG, and hydrogen as key enablers of future energy security and accelerators of the energy transition, in Asia and beyond.
