Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abbas Helmy witnessed the signing of two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to design and set up Cairo International Airport’s Terminal 4.
The MoUs were signed between Cairo Airport Company and a consortium grouping a host of international companies under PANGIAM, a pioneering US company in the spheres of new technology.
The consortium also groups several global companies specialized in construction and financial consulting.
In a statement Monday, the minister said that the signing of the two MoUs came as part of his ministry’s keenness on developing the infrastructure and raising the efficiency of Egyptian airports.
For their part, the members of the US delegation attending the signing ceremony hailed the fruitful cooperation with the Civil Aviation Ministry.
They affirmed keenness on equipping the airport with the latest technological methods.
