Egypt has expressed aspiration for the early implementation of the outcomes of the ministerial-level meeting of the group of Sudan’s neighbouring countries. Reflecting this attitude was Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri during talks over phone with his Chadian counterpart Mahamat Saleh Annadif on Monday, according to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
“FM Shoukri (has) contacted his Chadian counterpart to follow up on the outcomes of the ministerial meeting of Sudan’s neighbouring countries and the status of its action plan” Spokesman Abu Zeid wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
Minister Shoukri affirmed Egypt’s aspiration to adopt and implement the plan ASAP, Spokesman Abu Zeid added.
