CAIRO- Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said the Egyptian people rose up on June 30 in revolt against those who attempt to undermine their homeland.
In his word on Friday on the occasion of the June 30 Revolution, President Sisi greeted the Egyptian people on the 10th anniversary of the revolution that coincides this year with Eid al Adha, wishing peace and prosperity for all Arab and Muslim nations.
In his word, President Sisi said “History has shining days like stars that illuminate the hours of darkness, dispel the inky darkness of tyranny, light up the way for the walkers and usher them to the right path, and on top of these memorable days, June 30, 2013, when the Egyptian people rise up in revolt against those who attempt to undermine their homeland, expressing their explicit rejection of injustice, sectarianism and tyranny.”
Sisi went on to say “On this red-letter day, the Egyptian people declared that Egypt is for all Egyptians, making it clear that it is an independent country that sticks to the indomitable will of its people and uphold their interests.”
The June 30 Revolution reaffirms the unity of homeland, under its Egyptian identity that embraces all the people without discrimination of any kind, President Sisi said.
President Sisi in his word on the 10th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution said that the steadfastness showed by the Egyptian people over the past 10 years since the glorious June 30 revolution “will remain the subject of study by thinkers and researchers and poses many challenging questions on the secret behind the special relationship between the Egyptian people, the national State institutions and the Armed Forces.”
President Sisi also paid tribute to the police and military personnel for their supporting role in the fierce fight against terrorism, along with sacrificing their lives for the sake of protecting homeland.
President Sisi stressed that the current generation of Egyptians have become stronger to bear responsibility for building the country after facing several challenges.
The current generation also played important roles to bring about stability, security and development after suffering from chaos.
The president highlighted unprecedented achievements made by Egyptians in different sectors nationwide, including the fields related to infrastructure, roads, transport, green and renewable energy, natural gas, petroleum, trade and land reclamation.
The state mainly prioritizes the development of health and education through eradicating diseases and establishing modern schools and universities nationwide.
The president pointed out that the government exerts great efforts on establishing advanced new cities nationwide to overcome the overpopulation issue and raise living standards for citizens.
