Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said Wednesday that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s African tour is important and reflects Egypt’s keenness to enhance coordination and boost relations with African countries.
Sisi has embarked on a three-leg African tour to Angola, Zambia and Mozambique.
Speaking during a Cabinet meeting earlier today, the premier talked about bolstering cooperation with Africa at the economic, trade and investment levels.
He underscored the importance of Sisi’s participation in the 22nd summit of the COMESA in Lusaka, Zambia, to take over the presidency of the African organization.
The meeting also took up the implementation of decisions by the Supreme Council for Investment, which are meant to encourage and attract more foreign and local investments to Egypt.
Madbouli also touched upon two bills outlined by the justice minister to amend the law on investment and undo some of the incentives granted to a number of government bodies.
