The Arab League (AL) is set to participate at the ministerial meeting of the anti-Daesh International Coalition, to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday.
The AL delegation is chaired by Ambassador Khalil Ibrahim Al Zawady, assistant secretary general of the of department of Arab affairs and national security, on behalf of AL Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit.
Al Zawady said in a statement on Wednesday that the pan-Arab body’s participation at the meeting comes at an invitation from Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan.
The meeting will be an opportunity for holding consultations and exchange visions on facing serious challenges and threats posed by Daesh, he added.
