Egyptian Presidential Adviser for Health and Preventive Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag Eddin affirmed that the presidential initiative to end waiting lists is working well so far and has made several surgeries until now.
Tag Eddin told MENA on Monday that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi allocated an additional one billion Egyptian pounds to end the waiting lists in order to expedite treatment for patients in need of urgent surgeries.
The adviser said the initiative is aiming to alleviate burdens on millions of Egyptians and their families.
The initiative will last until finalizing the application of universal health insurance system nationwide, according to him.
